Being a teenage girl with ADHD can feel overwhelming... especially during the exam years! Procrastination, perfectionism, emotional spirals, late nights, and the pressure to “keep up” can leave your daughter stressed, exhausted, and doubting herself.
If your daughter's stuck in cycles of procrastination, perfectionism, late-night (or last-minute!) studying that leaves her exhausted, she's not alone. Coaching provides her the space, strategies, and support to:
✓ Understand her ADHD strengths and challenges
✓ Build strategies for life and school that actually work for her brain
✓ Grow in confidence so she can thrive, not just get by
The goal? A calmer, more confident young woman who feels capable of handling school and life, and a parent who feels reassured knowing she’s supported.
My approach blends coaching, mentoring and neuroaffirming ADHD support. With over 10 years’ experience as a secondary school teacher (and growing up as an AuDHDer myself...) I understand the demands facing ADHD girls these days: schoolwork, exams, friendships, routines, the emotional spirals...
Being Exhausted every day after school
Struggling to keep-up with homework / coursework
Feeling like if it's not perfect, then it's not good enough
Struggling to know where to start with things like revision
Calendars, diaries, google classroom etc - but still forgetting things
Low self esteem "I'm lazy" "I'm stupid"
Last minute panic or missed deadlines
Struggling to focus on schoolwork (or spending too much time on it!)
Emotional ups and downs
Constant stream of thoughts that are often negative
Struggling to make decisions and know what she wants to do in life
Energy that rises and crashes
Finding it hard to motivate herself to get stuff done
In our sessions, we'll explore her challenges and patterns through an ADHD lens so she can not only develop strategies to manage them, but also understand that they're not her fault.
Understand her unique brain, so she can work with it, not against it
Build routines and study habits that actually stick
Manage her emotions, energy, and focus with more ease
Make decisions and follow through without constant self-doubt
Develop simple tools and personalised strategies to manage ADHD challenges
Believe in herself, feel proud of her progress, and see her strengths clearly
How will coaching with Aimee support your daughter?
Private session space
The Thrive package includes twelve 60-minute 1:1 sessions over Google Meet. Typically this would be support over a three month period.
A space where she feels understood
Your daughter doesn’t have to mask, pretend to be organised, or act “fine". She gets a calm, supportive space to talk openly about school, friendships, emotions and overwhelm.
Personalised tools created with her, not for her
We build simple, visual and realistic strategies together in sessions.
Emotional regulation support she can rely on
ADHD girls can feel everything deeply. I help her understand her thoughts, handle spirals, reduce overwhelm, and build self-compassion.
A coaching diary she can refer back to
After every session, she gets a clear summary of what we explored, including any visuals we created, and her experiments for the week ahead. There’s space for her to reflect if she wants to.
This reduces the expectation to remember everything.
Support between sessions
She’s not left on her own between sessions.
I check in, offer reminders, and give encouragement when she needs it.
Parent partnership built in
You stay in the loop through short updates, a parent communication log (Google Docs) and a dedicated parent meeting as part of the Thrive package.
Your daughter gets the emotional support, structure, strategies and understanding she needs.
And you get clarity, confidence, and a coach who genuinely cares.
Coaching is focused on her: her strengths, goals, and challenges.
Sessions are designed to help your daughter develop practical tools she can use day to day, while also building confidence and self-understanding.
Each session starts with checking in on how she's currently feeling and sharing a win from her week. Then we set the focus together. We have one clear focus for each session (I'll always make a suggestion but the decision is hers).
I'll check in with her between sessions via e-mail.
You’ll be part of the journey, but always in a way that respects your daughter's privacy.
I’ll share short updates to keep you in the loop, highlighting wins, strategies being explored, and simple ways you can support at home.
If I ever have concerns about her wellbeing or safety, I will always let you know straight away.
As part of the Thrive package you're welcome to schedule a 30-minute 1:1 with me!
Coaching works best when she can trust the space is hers. What she shares is confidential, unless there is a safeguarding concern. In that case I will take steps to keep her safe, including involving you or other support services if needed.
If you and your daughter agree, sessions can be recorded and shared with consent from you both.
Small, consistent steps forward. This could be remembering homework, managing time better, handling big feelings, or feeling more confident in herself.
We celebrate the little wins. Progress over perfection.
